Delivery & Returns

Simplicity and customer peace of mind is our goal.  

Please see our delivery, returns, installation, and warranty policies below.

Delivery

Yellow Shark Audio will aim to meet your delivery requirements. If the product you order is in stock, delivery will be made within 3-5 working days. If the product you order is not in stock, there is a 2-4 week product lead time. 

Warranty

ATC Loudspeaker Technology Ltd provides you with a two-year product warranty for your ATC product, valid from the date of purchase from an authorised ATC dealer.  This warranty can be extended up to a period of six years by registering the product with ATC.  The ATC product warranty does not affect your local statutory rights.  Specific details of the warranty may vary from country to country, please contact your local distributor for details.  The product warranty is subject to the following warranty conditions:

 

Scope

  • The term of the warranty begins on the day of purchase from an authorised ATC dealer and ends after two years.

  • Should you successfully register your product with ATC, the warranty period is extended up to six years from the date of purchase, on the condition the registration takes place within 30 days of purchase.

  • The warranty is linked to the product and is transferable.  Warranty for second-hand/used product starts from the original date of sale.   Used product extended warranty will only apply if the original owner has registered the product.

  • In the case of second-hand/used product that has not been registered, the warranty starts on the date of manufacture.

  • Warranty for dealer/distributor demonstrators starts on the date of manufacture.

  • During the warranty period, Loudspeaker Technology Ltd. will repair or, at our absolute discretion, replace a faulty product.  Warranty repairs must only be carried out by Loudspeaker Technology Ltd or our authorised service agents.  The warranty covers the cost of parts and labour.

Limitations

The product warranty does not provide cover for:

  • ATC products purchased from outside the authorised ATC sales network. 

  • Products without dated proof of purchase (sales invoice or receipt) from an authorised ATC dealer or distributor.

  • Use outside that set out in the relevant product User Manual.

  • Products on which the serial number has been modified, rendered illegible or removed.

  • Damage caused by improper handling (e.g. drop/impact, water, dust/sand).

  • Faults resulting from normal use or wear and tear, or normal ageing of the product.

  • Purely cosmetic blemishes on the product (such as dust).

  • Wearing parts, such as batteries, unless the damage has been caused by a material defect or manufacturing fault.

  • Operation without a mains earth (ground) connection.

  • Unauthorised modification or service.

  • Products that are not packed in the original packaging (packing sets are available from authorised ATC distributors/dealers).

  • Extreme environmental conditions (including extreme temperatures and extreme humidity), extreme physical or electrical loads, interference, fluctuations or voltage peaks in the mains power supply, lightning strikes, static electricity, fire, force majeure, or any other external influences.

  • ATC factory repairs.  A 12 month warranty applies to repairs.  The warranty applies to the parts replaced and the workmanship associated with replacing these parts only. 

Customer Obligations

 

To obtain the services available under the product warranty, the customer undertakes:

  • To provide a copy of the original proof of purchase for the product, issued by an authorised ATC dealer/distributor, when requested to do so by ATC.

  • Where possible, to process all warranty claims via the dealer who supplied the product or via the distributor in the country in question.

  • To provide information about the symptoms and causes of problems with the product via telephone and/or email.

  • To respond to questions, including requests for the serial number of the product, the model, peripheral equipment connected to the product, faults heard/observed, actions carried out before the problem occurred on the product, and measures taken to resolve the problem.

  • To follow all instructions from ATC, including those on how to package the product in the original product packaging.

Returns

Returns Terms and Conditions

We offer our customers a 14-day returns period on most products. Products not eligible for this and consequently cannot be returned are SPECIAL ORDER items identified as such in the “availability” information on the products page. These are items that we don’t always hold in stock and will special order specifically for the customers order. If you are not sure you want to keep the product and it is marked as SPECIAL ORDER, please contact us before buying – we’ll arrange if possible a demo unit for you to try instead of committing to an order in the first instance. Close contact items – Items that can become unhygienic through use, including (but not limited to) headphones, vocal microphones, and windscreens/pop shields. Any items that are custom-made to a customer's specifications. Items shipped via freight. Items that the customer has damaged or allowed to become damaged either by accident, negligence, poor packaging, or otherwise.

Restocking fees

In the event that you have purchased a product and you want to return it, Yellow Shark Audio reserves the right to charge a restocking fee. The product should only have been used carefully to assess its functions and features to be eligible for a full refund, must be returned in as-new condition, including all original packaging and accessories. If the product does not meet these criteria, we reserve the right to deduct a % of the total sale price from your refund or credit to cover the loss of value. The assessment of value is at the discretion of Yellow Shark Audio and is based on our observations of the product when it’s received back. Yellow Shark Audio’s decision on this amount is final. If you do not accept the restocking fee then the product will be returned to you. Typically, missing accessories would result in a 5% restocking fee, and light damage to the product (a small, superficial scratch for example) would result in at least a 10% restocking fee. Any severe damage (deep scratches or anything causing loss of intended function) would result in the product being ineligible for any refund and the product will be returned to you.

To return a purchase (within 14 days of receipt)

Please Email your contact with Yellow Shark Audio. Wait for us to contact you to authorise the return. Please allow two working days for a response. Returns must be complete including accessories, documentation and all original packaging – please refer to the “restocking fees” section of these terms and conditions. You are responsible for all return shipping costs including shipping insurance which is recommended to protect your items, as you are liable for items damaged during return shipment. In the case that a refund has been agreed, please allow up to 14 days for a refund from the day we receive the goods from you.

Faulty or damaged products

If your product has developed a fault or has arrived damaged, please email your Yellow Shark Audio contact. Wait for your contact to respond and discuss the fault. Our office hours are 9 am-6 pm Monday to Friday, and we aim to respond to your report within 24 hours where possible. A member of our team will usually troubleshoot the fault with you before authorising a return. In the case that we rule out other possibilities for the product appearing faulty, we will make arrangements with you to receive the goods back for repair, or in the case they cannot be repaired, we will issue a replacement.  If the report of a fault is received within 30 days of receipt of the item, Yellow Shark Audio will arrange a courier to collect the item. Please ensure the product is well packaged to minimise any risk of damage during shipping. Yellow Shark Audio cannot be held liable for any damage to poorly packaged products. If your return request is received outside of 30 days of receipt of the item, it is the policy that the customer bears the cost and responsibility of shipping the goods back to Yellow Shark Audio. If your product is sent to Yellow Shark Audio and no fault is found, the costs of investigative labour and return post will be payable.
